The Schüco AWS 90 BS.SI+ Green with a basic depth of 90 mm combines the benefits of aluminium with maximum thermal insulation for design-oriented, sustainable architecture. AWS 90.SI+ Green is a highly thermally insulated aluminium window to passive house standard with parts made from renewable raw materials. It is part of the Schüco AWS modular system for the basic depth of 90 mm and features impressive characteristics in terms of function, energy efficiency and design.

Sustainability:

Buildings consume about 40% of the energy generated worldwide. The construction and utilisation of buildings are also the main causes of greenhouse gas emissions. The building sector offers twice as much potential for cutting CO2 emissions as the transport sector. Governments respond to this with stringent regulations, while clients are demanding new, ecologically sound products. With the Schüco AWS 90.SI+ Green window, Schüco is introducing a generation of windows which responds to these demands by using pioneering, ecological materials. Among other materials, this generation of windows uses caster oil as a significant renewable resource for the polyamide insulating bars. This means that Schüco has become the first supplier to offer a production-ready, approved aluminium window and to partially substitute fossil resources with renewable raw materials in the plastics.

Application option:

The AWS 90.SI+ Green window system forms the basis for sustainable construction and for a wide range of applications in building envelopes. Depending on the architectural requirement, the window system can be used as a punched opening, ribbon window, façade insert unit or in combination with Schüco door systems. Furthermore, a wide variety of different opening types can be designed with this system, such as side-hung and turn/tilt or as a bottom-hung toplight. Additionally, the system offers the solution for barrier-free patio and balcony doors in side-hung, turn/tilt and double-vent design. Schüco AWS 90.SI+ Green offers a wide product portfolio within the system platform, such as corner mullions, structural mullions, symmetrical and asymmetrical mullions and insert outer frames. The Schüco AWS 90.SI+ Green window system therefore sets new standards in terms of planning flexibility and features a range of different application options. Schüco AWS 90.SI+ Green TipTronic vent profiles can also be used with the Schüco TipTronic SimplySmart generation of electrical fittings, a fully integrated drive for numerous opening types.
